Who We Are

PayMohawk is a Mohawk-owned crypto payment processing platform operating under the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. Our infrastructure is hosted offshore in a privacy jurisdiction. We provide non-custodial Bitcoin and Lightning Network payment processing for businesses.

What We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to provide our services:

  • Merchant accounts: Business name, contact name, email address, phone (optional), industry, website URL, and e-commerce platform type.
  • Contact form: Name, email, subject, and message content.
  • Payment processing: Invoice amounts, order numbers, and payment status. We do NOT collect or store customer payment details, wallet addresses, or private keys.
  • Technical data: IP addresses in server logs (retained for 14 days for security purposes).

What We Don't Collect

  • Government-issued identification
  • Social Insurance Numbers (SIN)
  • Bank account information
  • Credit card numbers
  • Bitcoin private keys or wallet seed phrases
  • Customer personal information (we only see order amounts, not who paid)

Non-Custodial Model

PayMohawk is non-custodial. We never hold, control, or have access to your Bitcoin or funds. Payments flow directly from your customers' wallets to your wallet. We provide the invoicing and routing software — not a bank account. If PayMohawk ceased to exist tomorrow, your Bitcoin wallet and funds would be completely unaffected.

How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your merchant account
  • To provide payment processing services
  • To send you transaction notifications and support communications
  • To respond to your inquiries
  • To improve our services

We do NOT sell, trade, or share your information with third parties. We do NOT use your data for advertising or marketing to third parties.

Data Storage

All data is stored on servers in an offshore privacy jurisdiction with some of the strongest data protection laws in the world. Data disclosure requires a court order from a court in our hosting jurisdiction. We do not store data in the United States, Canada, the European Union, or any jurisdiction with broad surveillance laws.

Law Enforcement Requests

We will always do everything within our legal power to inform our merchants of any inquiries from any authorities, lawyers, or courts into their affairs. We do not voluntarily cooperate with data requests that lack proper legal basis. Our hosting jurisdiction requires a court order for data disclosure.

Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies for functionality (such as remembering your admin login session). We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party tracking services.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of all data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Withdraw from our services at any time with no penalty

Open Source

Our payment engine (BTCPay Server) is open-source software. You can inspect the code, verify our claims, and even run your own instance. Transparency is not a feature — it's a requirement.
